Martha was a key founding member and Member of the Board of Directors of the Leuben Foundation, who was called home by the Lord on 10th June 2020. Maliza, as we referred to her at home, was an extremely hardworking person both at home and at work. She was passionate and committed to ministry and was a worshipper. Martha literally knew almost the entire Luganda Anglican Church hymn book by heart and could sing every song perfectly. This was a very special gift in ministry. At home, she was the only person who knew how to “ohukalakasa” – ululate – the right way. She loved children and treated everyone with the utmost respect. She was undoubtedly beautiful, with a pure heart. By the time of her departure, Martha was the General Secretary to the Board of Directors of the Leuben Foundation. At the same time, she served in the Directorate of Public Prosecutions, based at the Mukono Regional Office, having previously worked in Busia and Iganga stations. Until we meet again at the feet of the Lord, Martha’s gentle and loving soul continues to rest in peace.
