At Leuben Empowerment and Development Foundation International, we believe that land is not just property—it is livelihood, identity, and a source of security. However, many communities—especially vulnerable groups such as women, orphans, and the elderly—often face exploitation, displacement, and injustice when it comes to land ownership and use.
Our Land Advocacy Program works to educate, empower, and protect communities, ensuring that land rights are respected and upheld across all levels.
We run awareness campaigns to:
Educate citizens about their legal land rights
Promote responsible land use and conservation
Address issues of land grabbing, boundary disputes, and exploitation
We build the capacity of:
Cultural, religious, and political leaders on their duty to protect community land rights
Equip leaders to defend the rights of vulnerable groups, especially women, children, and the elderly
Promote peaceful conflict resolution and customary land administration
We collaborate with:
Government departments responsible for land (e.g., Ministry of Lands, Local Land Boards, Land Commissions)
Legal and human rights organizations to seek justice for grassroots communities
Land tribunals to facilitate timely resolution of land-related grievances
Without secure access to land:
Food security, housing, and income sources are threatened
Development projects stall, and generational poverty persists
Vulnerable populations become even more exposed to exploitation and abuse
At Leuben Foundation, we strive to create just, inclusive, and informed communities where everyone—regardless of gender, age, or status—can enjoy safe, secure, and equitable access to land.
“Land justice is not a privilege—it is a right that builds the foundation for sustainable development.”
