At Leuben Foundation, we believe that meaningful development is impossible without a healthy environment. With the ongoing climate crisis and the alarming damage already inflicted on ecosystems globally, the need for collective environmental responsibility has never been more urgent.
We are committed to contributing to climate resilience, sustainable ecosystems, and community-led environmental stewardship. Our work aligns with global efforts to combat climate change and protect the future of our planet.
We lead tree planting campaigns across communities and institutions—including schools, churches, and local governments—restoring green cover and promoting climate-friendly landscapes.
Through community sensitization programs, we educate people on:
Responsible environmental use
Conservation techniques
Environmental protection laws
The risks and consequences of environmental neglect
We establish and support environmental clubs in schools, empowering students to become young environmental ambassadors who advocate for change both in and beyond school boundaries.
To reduce dependence on charcoal—which significantly contributes to deforestation—we promote:
Briquette and pellet production: Eco-friendly, low-cost, and income-generating alternatives
Community training on energy-saving stoves: Using locally sourced materials to build stoves that are efficient, safe, and environmentally conscious
The climate crisis threatens lives, livelihoods, and our future. By acting locally, we aim to make a global impact—fostering communities that live in harmony with nature and contribute to a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable world.
“Protecting our environment today is the best gift we can give to future generations.”
