At Leuben Empowerment and Development Foundation International, we believe that sustainable agriculture is a cornerstone of community development, poverty reduction, and food security. Our Agriculture Program focuses on empowering farmers with modern farming skills, access to financial tools, and pathways to commercial farming success.
We train rural communities and smallholder farmers on improved agricultural methods, such as:
Climate-smart agriculture
Organic farming and soil preservation
Pest and disease control
Sustainable land use and irrigation techniques
These capacity-building sessions are tailored to boost farm productivity and promote environmentally responsible practices.
We empower farmers to move beyond subsistence farming into agribusiness by:
Teaching value addition and post-harvest handling
Encouraging participation in local and regional markets
Promoting agribusiness cooperatives and group marketing
The goal is to create income-generating agriculture ventures that uplift households and entire communities.
Recognizing that farming success often requires capital, we:
Link farmers to financial revolving loan schemes
Promote village savings and loan associations (VSLAs)
Provide training in financial literacy and agribusiness planning
This ensures that farmers can invest in quality inputs, access tools, and scale up their operations.
Increased crop yields and livestock productivity
Improved household income and economic resilience
Enhanced food security
Stronger agribusiness value chains
We work closely with community leaders, agricultural extension workers, and government agencies to ensure our approach is sustainable, inclusive, and impactful.
